Rekindle the Gift of Vocation in Biblical and Pastoral Approach
"I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you..." — 2 Timothy 1:6
Welcome to RASA 2026! As members, animators, and friends of the Scalabrinian family, we gather with open hearts and a shared mission: to listen deeply, journey together, and rekindle the sacred flame of our vocation.
Inspired by our founder, St. John Baptist Scalabrini, who saw the face of Christ in every person on the move, RASA 2026 invites us to re-anchor our calling in two dynamic, inseparable pillars: Scripture and Pastoral Action.
The Two Pillars of RASA 2026
-
A Biblical Approach — Rooted in the Word
Every vocation begins with an encounter with God's Word. By returning to the Scriptures, we revisit the initial spark of our calling, listen to God’s personal promptings, and align our life's direction with Christ—the ultimate pilgrim.
-
A Pastoral Approach — Expressed in Mission
A rekindled gift cannot remain hidden; it naturally moves into loving service. In true Scalabrinian spirit, our vocation comes alive at the margins—walking alongside migrants, refugees, seafarers, and displaced communities. Our pastoral response translates faith into active hospitality, accompaniment, and communion.
-
Why We Gather
RASA 2026 is more than a gathering; it is a spiritual hearth where we come to be refreshed, formed, and sent forth renewed. Together, let us stir into flame the gifts God has entrusted to us so that we may continue to be signs of hope and welcoming witnesses in a world in motion.
